NRLN Collects Information Via Email Sign Up
When an individual clicks the Email Sign Up tab to subscribe to receive emails from the NRLN the following information is collected: Prefix, First Name, Last Name, Address 1 (your voting street address), Address 2 (i.e. apartment #, etc.), City (where you vote), State (where you vote), Zip Code (9-digits if available), Email (lower case only, check for accuracy), Phone, Name of Retiree Association or Chapter (dropdown menu), Other (if affiliation is not in dropdown menu), I agree to receive NRLN Emails, click on SIGN ME UP.
Having your home address information is vital to ensuring that the NRLN knows which Congressional District you are in and who your members of Congress are so that we can tailor our Action Alert and other email information that is relevant to you.
Information Security
The NRLN assures you that your contact information will be in a secure database provided by a reputable Washington, D.C. area firm that specializes in helping advocacy organizations communicate with their members of Congress. The NRLN grassroots database is only used by the NRLN to send you messages that we believe are important to retirees. Your contact information will not be provided to any third party.
Appeal to Support the NRLN and AREF
The information you provide through the Email Sign Up webpage or your contact information provided by your Association of Chapter can be used to email or send a letter in the U.S. Mail to you to solicit a voluntary contribution/donation to the NRLN and/or the American Retirees Education Foundation, the research and education arm of the NRLN.
NRLN Does Not Make Political Contributions
The NRLN will never use your contribution/donation to make a political contribution to a member of Congress, U.S. President, or a candidate for political office. The NRLN will never purchase a meal or drinks for a politician. Retiree issues that the NRLN lobbies for are based on their own merits and not incentives.
